Interior Reveal in Braintree: A Chef’s Kitchen & Hidden Pantry

Last week, we showed you the exterior transformation of our Braintree home addition project, featuring a new garage and roof deck. Today, we are taking you inside to see how we transformed the daily life of this family.


The goal for the interior was simple: create a bright, functional space that feels warm and inviting. We moved away from the "all-white" kitchen trend and embraced natural wood tones, luxury appliances, and smart storage solutions.

The Kitchen: Organic Modern Design The centerpiece of the addition is the new kitchen. We used custom cabinetry in a natural light wood stain (often called "Organic Modern" style). This brings warmth to the room while keeping it airy.

Architectural Highlights:

  • Waterfall Island: Notice how the quartz countertop flows over the edge of the island to the floor. This seamless stone detail is a hallmark of luxury design.

  • Herringbone Backsplash: The marble backsplash is laid in a herringbone pattern, adding texture and elegance without being overwhelming.

Chef-Grade Appliances A true chef's kitchen needs the right tools. We installed a professional-grade Wolf Range—you can spot the signature red knobs. Above the stove, we installed a matte black pot filler and a custom wood range hood that matches the cabinetry perfectly. This is "Architectural Logic" at work: high function meets high fashion.

The "Hidden Gem": A Walk-In Pantry One of the most requested features in Braintree renovations right now is a dedicated pantry. For this project, we didn't just build a closet; we created a room.

  • Custom Organization: We installed pull-out wood drawers and deep shelving to maximize every inch of storage.

  • Appliance Garage: The pantry serves as a coffee station and toaster area, keeping the main kitchen counters 100% clutter-free.

  • Natural Light: Unlike most dark pantries, this one features a window, making it a pleasant space to prep.

Modern Bath Details We carried the warm wood theme into the new bathroom but added a splash of color. The shower features a vertical blue tile accent strip that draws the eye up, making the ceiling feel higher. Combined with matte black fixtures, the look is clean, modern, and timeless.
