Home Rebuild in Braintree, MA

Sometimes, a renovation isn't enough. To get the layout, ceiling height, and energy efficiency you want, the best option is often a complete home rebuild.

We are making rapid progress at our latest site in Braintree, MA. As you can see from the latest drone photos, the "skeleton" of the house is finished. The framing is complete, and the sheathing is up, getting us one step closer to a weather-tight shell.

Why Rebuild? For this project, a rebuild allowed us to design a modern floor plan from scratch. Unlike working within old walls, framing a new structure gives us perfect control over:

  • Structural Integrity: We use engineered lumber to ensure level floors and straight walls.

  • Window Placement: The large openings you see in the photos will soon hold oversized windows, flooding the home with natural light.

Winter Construction in New England Building in February means battling the elements. You can see the snow on the ground in our site photos. Speed is critical during a winter build. Our team worked efficiently to get the framing vertical and the roof sheathed quickly to protect the interior from snow and ice.

Technical Detail: Mixed Sheathing Systems If you look closely at the roof photo above, you will see we used standard plywood for the pitched roof and ZIP System sheathing (the red panels) for the lower flat roof section.

  • Why? Flat roof areas are more prone to water sitting on the surface. ZIP System provides an integrated water and air barrier that offers superior protection for these critical areas.

What’s Next? Now that the framing inspection is approaching, we are preparing for:

  1. Roofing installation (to get 100% dry).

  2. Window installation (to seal the building envelope).
