When you build a massive addition like our Project in Milton, you need a floor that can hold its own. Standard oak is beautiful, but sometimes a space demands something more dramatic.
For the new "Great Suite" and entertainment hall, the homeowners chose Tiger Wood flooring. As the photos show, the result is nothing short of spectacular.

What is Tiger Wood? Tiger Wood (also known as Goncalo Alves) is an exotic hardwood imported from South America. It gets its name from the distinct, dark brown/black streaks that run through the orange-reddish background, resembling tiger stripes.
Why We Recommended It:
Durability: Tiger Wood is incredibly hard. On the Janka hardness scale, it ranks much higher than domestic Red Oak. This makes it perfect for high-traffic areas like this entertainment space.
Architectural Logic: In a large, open-concept room, light-colored floors can sometimes make the space feel "washed out." The rich, deep tones of Tiger Wood "anchor" the room, giving it warmth and weight.

The Installation Process Installing exotic hardwood requires expertise. The wood is so dense that it can be difficult to cut and nail. Our team ensured tight seams and a flawless finish. The variation in color means you can't just lay boards randomly.
We carefully selected and placed the planks to ensure a balanced distribution of the "tiger stripes" across the floor.

A Luxury Finish With the natural light pouring in from the balcony doors, the floor glows. It turns an empty room into a work of art before a single piece of furniture is even moved in.
