Before we can build the new luxury home at Project Beverly, we have to properly handle the history of the existing site. In many older Massachusetts homes, asbestos is a common reality in siding, roofing, and insulation.
At Wow Construction LLC, we don't take shortcuts with hazardous materials. Before standard demolition begins, we bring in licensed professionals to perform a safe, compliant asbestos abatement.

The Abatement Process You cannot simply tear down a house containing asbestos with an excavator. That would release dangerous fibers into the air, endangering workers and neighbors. Instead, the process is methodical and manual:
Containment: As you can see in the photos, we laid down heavy-duty plastic sheeting around the perimeter of the house ****. This catches any debris and prevents it from contaminating the soil or grass.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Our crew wears full Tyvek hazmat suits and respirators while working on the roof and siding ****. This is non-negotiable for worker safety.

Proper Disposal Getting the material off the house is only half the battle. It must be packaged correctly for transport. We utilize specialized fiber drums and sealed waste containers ****. Every piece of hazardous waste is double-bagged or sealed in these drums to ensure no fibers escape during transport to the disposal facility.

Clean and Ready for Demo Once the abatement is finished and the air quality is tested, the "scary" part is over. The house is now a clean shell, safe for our heavy machinery to begin the structural demolition.
