There is nothing quite like the feeling of seeing a project rise out of the ground. At Wow Construction LLC, we are excited to share an update on our latest residential construction job, "Project Columbus," right here in Braintree, MA.
Many homeowners love their neighborhood but find themselves needing more space. Instead of moving, the best solution is often a custom home addition. That is exactly what we are doing for this client, transforming their existing home to meet their modern needs.

Project Goals: Expanding for Comfort The scope of this project is designed to add significant value and comfort to the home. The plan involves a two-story expansion:
First Floor: We are expanding the kitchen to create a more open, functional space for the family. We are also adding a convenient powder room, which is a high-value feature for any home renovation.
Second Floor: The addition will support a brand new master suite, complete with a spacious master bathroom and a walk-in closet.
Current Progress: The Foundation Phase As any architectural designer or builder knows, the quality of the addition depends entirely on the quality of the foundation.

Over the past few weeks, we successfully completed the excavation and poured the concrete foundation. As you can see in the photos, the forms have been stripped, and the site has been backfilled. We took special care to ensure a seamless structural connection between the new concrete and the existing house foundation.

What’s Next? Framing the Structure With the "heavy lifting" of the site work completed, the site is now ready for the next phase: house framing. In the coming weeks, you will see the skeleton of the new kitchen and master suite take shape.
Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward with this Braintree home addition.
